Randy K.
Once approved by the VA got scheduled real quick. Relatively no pain for having a root canal. Dr Beam explained everything. Definitely will use again. I’ve also seen Dr. Todd and he is outstanding too.
Emary M.
Excellent care for our daughter’s root canal. Caring staff and took time with each patient to ensure they were treated properly and comfortable with the procedure. Highly recommend.
Gabriela D.
Literally just left this state of the art facility with a smile. I had the worst 2 weeks of my life with a abcess the size of a grape and pain pressure beyond belief. Dr Todd saw me for a quick consult and basically said im not leaving here again in pain and took care of me then and there. I appreciate everything he and his staff did. I was so nervous uncomfortable and worried about a double root canal and abcess resection. But he was kind, professional and did an excellent pain free and quick job. Front desk and assistant was also A+. Thank you Dr. Todd for giving me a positive dental experience.
Phillip F.

Rachael W.
Phenomenal service! The Doctor was patient and willing to answer any questions. He explained everything he would do with great consideration. He made sure I was comfortable through the whole process. His staff was also very helpful and kind. I honestly can’t think of a better dental experience.
Amanda K.
I needed an emergency root canal while on vacation. I called and the office staff was so friendly and kind, they got me in within less than 24 hours. I saw Dr. Todd, he was amazing and very informative. He talked me through the procedure and checked on me every few minutes. He went above and beyond to call and check on me himself a few hours after I left his office! Very thankful for how quickly their team worked me in and I’m no longer in pain!
Jennifer H.
I had the most wonderful experience with Elite Endodontics! I began experiencing worsening pre-existing tooth pain while on vacation in nearby Navarre Beach to the point that I was unable to sleep. Dr. Todd was able to squeeze me in for a consultation and same day root canal on a busy Friday when his schedule was already full. He was so efficient and the procedure was painless! All the staff that I interacted with were incredibly helpful, kind and professional. I feel like the whole team went out of their way to help me and truly cared about my wellbeing. I’m so glad that I made the choice to get dental care here and I would drive 8 hours from Houston to see them again if I ever need another root canal in the future! They saved my tooth and my vacation!
Mary Ann H.

Teresa J.

Yes, endodontists can place permanent fillings after performing root canal treatments. Their primary focus is on saving and restoring teeth, including sealing them with durable materials to ensure long-term stability and function.
Why are endodontists so expensive?
Endodontists may appear expensive due to their advanced education, specialized training, and the use of cutting-edge technology for complex dental procedures like root canals, which ensure effective and pain-free treatment.
Are endodontists worth it?
Yes, endodontists are worth it as they specialize in diagnosing and treating complex dental issues, such as root canals, ensuring effective and painless procedures that save your natural teeth and enhance your overall oral health.
Do endodontists do anything besides root canals?
Yes, endodontists specialize in diagnosing and treating issues related to dental pulp and nerves, which includes not only root canals but also procedures like retreatments, apexification, and treating dental trauma to save damaged teeth.
What specialized procedures do endodontists perform?
Endodontists specialize in procedures such as root canal therapy, endodontic retreatment, and the treatment of traumatic dental injuries. They also perform procedures for diagnosing and managing pain related to dental pulp and surrounding tissues.
How long do endodontic treatments typically last?
Endodontic treatments, such as root canals, typically last from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the complexity of the case. Your dentist will provide a more accurate estimate during your consultation.
Can endodontists diagnose oral and facial pain?
Yes, endodontists can diagnose oral and facial pain. They specialize in identifying the causes of dental pain, particularly related to the pulp and nerves of the tooth, providing accurate assessments and treatment options.
What sedation options do endodontists offer?

How does endodontics differ from general dentistry?
Endodontics focuses specifically on diagnosing and treating issues related to the dental pulp and root tissues, such as root canals. In contrast, general dentistry encompasses a broader range of services, including preventive care, cleanings, and restorative treatments.
Is endodontic treatment covered by dental insurance?
Yes, many dental insurance plans cover endodontic treatments, such as root canals. However, coverage can vary by provider, so it's important to check your specific plan for details regarding benefits and out-of-pocket costs.
What post-operative care is recommended by endodontists?
Endodontists recommend rest, avoiding strenuous activities, and taking prescribed medication for pain management. Maintaining a soft diet and practicing good oral hygiene while avoiding the treated area can also aid in proper healing.
Can children receive treatment from endodontists?
Yes, children can receive treatment from endodontists. Our experienced team is skilled in providing compassionate and effective care tailored to the unique dental needs of younger patients.
How can you prevent the need for endodontic treatment?
To prevent the need for endodontic treatment, practice good oral hygiene by brushing twice daily, flossing regularly, and visiting your dentist for routine check-ups and cleanings. Early intervention for cavities and gum issues is crucial for maintaining tooth health.
What are the alternatives to endodontic treatment?
Alternatives to endodontic treatment include extraction of the affected tooth, which can be replaced with a dental implant or bridge. However, these options may result in the loss of the natural tooth and can lead to further dental issues.
Do endodontists collaborate with other dental specialists?
Yes, endodontists frequently collaborate with other dental specialists, such as general dentists, oral surgeons, and periodontists, to ensure comprehensive care and optimal treatment outcomes for patients requiring specialized dental procedures.
How often should one visit an endodontist?
It is recommended to visit an endodontist whenever you experience severe tooth pain, swelling, or have been referred for specific issues like root canals. Regular check-ups with your general dentist can help determine if specialist care is needed.
What credentials should a qualified endodontist have?
A qualified endodontist should have completed dental school, followed by a specialized residency in endodontics, earning a certificate in this field. Additionally, board certification and active membership in professional organizations can further signify their expertise and commitment to continuing education.
What are the risks of endodontic procedures?
Endodontic procedures carry some risks, including infection, damage to surrounding tissues, and incomplete removal of infected tissue. However, when performed by skilled professionals, these risks are minimal, and benefits often outweigh potential complications.
How should one prepare for an endodontic appointment?
To prepare for your endodontic appointment, ensure you bring your insurance information and any relevant medical records. Additionally, consider arranging for transportation home afterward, as sedation may be used during the procedure.
What pain management techniques do endodontists use?

How to find a reputable endodontist in your area?

Do endodontists perform cosmetic dental procedures?
